Background of the antigen The CUB and sushi domain-containing proteins, CSMD1-3, are membrane proteins that are involved in cell-cell adhesion and are weakly expressed in most tissues, with higher levels of expression observed in the cerebellum and hippocampus. CSMD1 is part of the complement system that defends against pathogens through either the classical pathway or the alternative pathway. Located primarily in nerve growth cones, CSMD1 blocks the classical pathway of the immune system and is thought to be involved in tumor suppression, as defects in the gene encoding CSMD1 are associated with squamous cell carcinomas. CSMD2 and CSMD3 are located primarily in the brain and are implicated in some forms of head and neck cancer. Additionally, the CSMD3 gene is a candidate for induction of epileptic seizures.
Purification Purified by Protein A.

Properties For facs or microscopy Alexa 1 conjugate.Alexa Fluor 633 is a practical alternative to APC as well as Cy5. Bioss Primary Conjugated Antibodies. ALEXA FLUOR made this Alexa Fluor 633 conjugate that can be used in multi-color flow cytometry with instruments equipped with a second red laser or red diode. It is detected in the FL4 detector of the core's upgraded 2-laser FACScans. Like other Alexa Fluor dyes, the CSMD2 Antibody, exhibits uncommon photo stability, making it an ideal choice for fluorescent microscopy. If you buy Antibodies supplied by Bioss Primary Conjugated Antibodies. ALEXA FLUOR they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
