Long description Influenza virus is a single-stranded RNA virus, segmented, 70nm in diameter and enveloped. Strains are described by geographic origin, strain number, year of isolation and hemagglutination (H) and neuraminidase (N) antigens.
Antibody come from Synthetic peptide corresponding to 15aa at the N-terminus of the Hemagglutinin protein (Genbank accession no. AAT76166). Efforts were made to use relatively conserved regions of the viral sequence as the antigen.
